The practice

Movement is our profession!
Movement.. our body is built to move. Moving is healthy, it keeps joints and muscles flexible, and supports a good immune system. For most people, being able to move is natural..

But what if lately moving naturally hasn’t been as easy as you would like it to be?
Do you experience painful muscles or joints as a consequence of an accident, a sports injury, or perhaps by overburden at work? We know everything about healthy movement! You can contact us for general physiotherapy, manual therapy, and sports therapy. But you can also come to us with work related injuries..
Move better, now!

In 1995,  a practice for physical and manual therapy was founded in the Groothandelsgebouw. The prime reason for starting a practice in a building in which many companies are combined, was the wide presence of work-related injuries. You can think of injuries like CANS (Complaints of Arms, Neck and Shoulders), formerly known as RSI. Because the practice is situated close to the work place, the time you need to take out for a visit to a physiotherapist/manual therapist is limited to a minimum.

Besides  people working in the Groothandelsgebouw, the practice is also visited by other people, most of them working or living in the centre of Rotterdam. Work related injuries are most common in our practice, but treatments of a lot of different injuries of the musculoskeletal system are possible. In case that there is not enough expertise  within our practice for a specific injury, for example with incontinence or lymph oedema, we will refer you to a another physiotherapist. We have connections with specialized colleagues who will help you further.

Paramedic Training & Advice Centre (PTAC)

In 2003 the practice was extended with a training and exercise room, called the PTAC (Paramedic Training and Advice Centre) Groothandelsgebouw. Our motive was  to offer service in the area of revalidation, as well as the area of prevention. People who want to develop their taxability further after treatment can train in the PTAC, but also people who want to prevent injuries, or who wish to achieve personal goals  (via their employer or privately). Training schedules are made for individuals, based on personal goals, and the test results from the intake. The training is guided, evaluated, and if needed adjusted.

In addition to training in the area of rehabilitaion and prevention, we also offer information and advice on location in the area of work related health complaints and adaptation of the work place.
